Happy Halloween

Devin Trick or Treating as "Jake" from Jake & the Neverland Pirates. Tate of course is a parrot. Felt that was fitting given that Devin was a pirate.

Hallowweekends @ Lake Rudolph

Enjoying all the campground amenities at Lake Rudolph.

Tate is officially walking and not a moment too soon. Our backs were starting to get soar from packing him around everywhere. If you haven't seen him in awhile, he is quite the big guy.

Our Halloween costumes for trick or treating around the campground.

Tate got to trick or treat in style - cruisin' around from campsite to campsite on the golf cart.

Filling up the treat bag.

Devin was also able to help hand out treats to the other Trick or Treaters. I think he had more fun handing out candy than collecting it.

Tate posing for the crowds.

Devin entered the costume contest that evening at the campground. We won for his age group and was sooo excited. He won the cutest shirt.

Tate's Morning Routine

Every morning after Tate finishes eating breakfast he comes to find me in the bathroom getting ready for work. He has to sit on the bathroom counter so that he can watch me and see himself.

Tate then quickly grabs for both the comb and the brush.

Future barber, hair dresser???

All smiles - Melts my heart.

It's Pumpkin Time

Tate officially walking at the Pumpkin Patch! Tate went from cruising the couch to walking around the house overnight. It literally just "clicked" with Tate. This mom is really glad he has figured it out.

Quick picture of the boys at the Pumpkin Patch.

Devin posing with the pumpkins that he picked out for all of us.

Devin quickly picked out his pumpkin designs and then we got started. He was really into pumpkin carving this year. He helped pull out the guts and transfer the design onto the pumpkin. He even helped do some of the cutting. Once we finished the pumpkins we lit them up and put them out on the porch for all to see.

Future Bane Family Farmers

Really, 80 degrees in the middle of October. There won't be to many days like this left before winter hits. Had to get out and enjoy the weather.

Fun Filled Fall Weekend!

Our camping weekend started out with a bicycle lesson. Devin is trying to learn how to ride his bike that he got for his birthday. He is great at breaking, but still has some work to do on the pedaling.

Cheese! New bike and new helmet. Safety First!

Next we moved onto some fall crafts. First we started with painting a pumpkin. Devin painted a "scary faced" pumpkin.

Then we made a gum ball spider.

Posing with his spider while we wait for the hay ride.

Our very own personal hay ride through the forests at Lincoln State Park.

Mommy & Devin acting silly on the ride. Chewing on some hay, but that's what horse's eat, right?

Saturday even we took to the streets of the campground for a little Trick-or-Treating. Devin was dressed up like Jack from Jack and the Neverland Pirates. He got a sack full of loot and had a blast.

While Devin and Mommy went Trick or Treating, Tate and Daddy stayed back at the campsite to pass out candy and booze to the trick or treaters. Greg handed out mini's to any adult that was dressed up to go trick or treating with their kids. Of course, that was a big hit.

Picture of our campsite at Lincoln State Park. We had such a perfect weekend!

Happy Harvest

Tate watching Papaw Barry combine soybeans.

We rode the gator to the field where Daddy and Papaw were hard at work. Devin thought he needed to practice his gator driving.

Now it's Tate's turn to drive the gator.

Here comes the combine! What a gorgeous afternoon to get out and enjoy the fall weather. Perfectly blue sky and a chill in the air - that's why we love fall.

Devin taking in everything in. He was watching the soybeans empty out of the combine into the semi-truck. What boy doesn't like tractors & trucks? They were both having a blast.

Tate's 1st ever combine ride. All things considered he seemed to like it!

Tate studying the combine as it went bye. What facial expressions, huh!

Moving on to bigger and better things, the semi truck. It is just a lot of fun because it has a great big air horn that Devin likes to blow!

Thanks to Devin, Mommy got in one of the pictures. Pretty decent picture given the circumstances.

Devin found some corn he thought he might like to eat.

It's a Pirate's Life for Me!

This year for Devin's 4th Birthday we celebrated with a Pirate Theme. We had all things pirate for the day. Devin's birthday cakes included a pirate hat and "Bucky" the Pirate Ship from "Jake & the Neverland Pirates".
No pirate birthday party would be complete without a pirate ship and a few pirates. Devin, a.k.a. Jake made an appearance. Captain Grandpa spent hours playing pirate games with Devin. They hunted for treasure, search for "bad guys", and had sword fights most of the afternoon. ScallyWag Matt made his appearance complete with a talking parrot on his shoulder. Grandma & Grandpa Bane even had some fun getting into the pirate spirit. Thanks to everyone for making our Pirate Party so much fun!!
Singing to the birthday boy. Notice the cannon's on the pirate ship those were Devin's candles. Two on each side.

Finally time to open presents. Devin could barely wait. If he could have gotten his way we would have opened them as everyone brought them into the house. Luckily we were able to convenience him to wait.

One last sword fight with Captain Grandpa before going to bed.
