Haubstadt Golf Cart Parade

We headed home from Brown County for our town's Golf Cart Christmas Parade.  Greg and I had been working for a couple weeks leading up to the parade to get our golf cart ready.  We decided on the RV from Christmas Vacation.

Greg and Matt with the golf cart.

"You Serious Clark"
Hanging out at the fire station before the parade began.  It turned out so well!  We are all wearing our Christmas Vacation shirts.

Cousin Eddy and Santa.

Loaded inside the RV ready for the parade to start.  Devin and Tate couldn't wait to throw out candy!

Look at that Hot Chocolate face!

Lets get this parade started!

Haubstadt Golf Cart Scavenger Hunt

They had a golf cart scavenger hunt to raise money for a mission trip.  We all started at The Carriage Inn, we received the directions and list of items to find.

This was a good one - we had to get a picture with some feminine products.  Devin fits right in!

This one took us a little longer to find.  We had to find a yard gnome.  They aren't as easy to find in Haubstadt as you might think.  This mini gnome wasn't to happy about getting his picture taken with Tate.

We had to get a selfie with all of our team in a public bathroom - success thanks to the big bathroom at Sunrise.

We had to get a picture with an emergency vehicle.  While we were at the gas station the police officer pulled up.  He was nice enough to let us get in and take a few pictures.  He even turned on the lights and sirens!

We stopped to get a picture of an out of state license plate on this motorcycle.  They were some really nice guys and they let Tate hopped on.  He revved the motorcyle while Tate was sitting on it.  His face was priceless.

Our golf cart crew!

Enjoying a drink at the site of the old water tower.  We all learned something new today.  We knew the water tower was near, but didn't know exactly where it was  previously located.  Thanks scavenger hunt!

The Bane Road Trip - Mobile Bay & Pensacola

We made our way from New Orleans toward Mobile Bay.  I was able to convince Greg to take the ferry across Mobile Bay instead of driving around.  Devin was waiting on the Ferry to arrive.  We were first in line to board.

The ferry arriving.

We boarded the ferry and enjoyed the quick ride across the bay.

It's a neat ferry ride, because you get up close to several oil rigs in the bay.  Definitely something we don't see everyday.

Enjoying the ride!

Luckily we have some budding photographers in the family, which means Mom gets to be in a few pictures every now and then.  Thanks Devin!

Tate could stand to practice a little bit more.

Pictures on the ferry, you can see an oil rig in the background.

Great picture of Devin.

After the ferry ride, we stopped for lunch at Lambert's.  Such a fun restaurant.  Devin and Tate were so excited to catch a roll.  Look at this smorgasbord that Tate had in front of him.

After lunch, we headed for the Air Force Museum at Pensacola.  They have quite the collection of airplanes.

Blue Angels!

Tate showing off all the planes!

Painted to look like a shark!

Devin sitting in the cockpit.  We might just have a future pilot on our hands.

Tate had to sit in every cockpit and push every button.  He was pretending to shoot things down.

Another plane to fly!

This time they decided to fly together!

Home of the Blue Angels.  It was cool to be up close and personal with these planes after seeing them fly in Evansville!

Blue Angel pilot.

I don't think he meets the height requirement just yet!!

After leaving the Museum, we had to stop at the Pensicola Lighthouse.  Dad not being a huge fan of heights, he stayed behind, while the boys and I hiked to the top!

We made it to the very top!  Love the view!

Devin and Mom at the top.

Tate and Mom enjoying the view.

Hiking backdown the lighthouse.  This is a still working lighthouse and the lamp when we got to the top was spinning.  It was interesting to see how it all worked.

Pointing to the top of the lighthouse, where we had just been!
