Tooth Fairy & Thomas

Tate lost his very first tooth.  It has been loose for weeks and it finally decided to fall out.  Tate was so excited that the tooth fairy would be coming.

Look, It's Tooth Fairy Thomas! Nah, still just good ole' Thomas the Elf.
He did however, get dress up for the occasion.
Thomas and the Tooth Fairy go waaay back. Gertrude (Tate's Tooth Fairy) and Thomas went to The Early Learning School of Mischief and Magic together. They were classmates. He didn't want to miss her, so Thomas decided to wait Gertrude out in Tate's room. He even managed to catch a picture of her while she was visiting. Good thing Thomas has some magic, because that would have never happened otherwise.

Gertrude coming to pick up Tate's tooth.

Tate was so excited that Thomas was in his room and that the tooth fairy left him a $2 bill.

Teeth, Teeth, and more Teeth

....and this tooth makes #8. Devin asked me before dinner if I would pull his really loose tooth. He said the last time I pulled one it was like magic, because it didn't even hurt. He said it just popped right out and he didn't even notice.

Thankfully some of the previous 7 teeth have grown in quite quickly, otherwise at this point he wouldn't have any teeth.

Tate also had to get into the picture taking action. He was acting so silly. I took about 50 pictures and everyone was as goofy as the next. He sure makes life fun.

There is never a dull moment around our house with this gang. They can sure bring a smile to your face. They are so full of joy and life!!

Back @ it again!

No surprise, Devin pulled another tooth out. This time it happen at his Sports Camp during Spring break. When I picked him up they had it waiting in a baggie for us.

This makes his 7th tooth to date.  The tooth fairy did stop bye our house and left him 7 quarters. He was so excited!

#6

Well it's been a big day. It started off with donuts in Mamaw's town. Then we headed to Illinois to look for some furniture. We got lucky and found what we were looking for right away. Then we quickly headed home so Dad could pick up the furniture. We got all the new furniture in the house when Devin lost his #6 tooth.

We are hoping that the tooth fairy works on Saturday night. Devin has his tooth all ready to go in his tooth fairy pillow. Keep your fingers crossed.

Devin Bane DDS

I was tucking in Tate this evening when Devin came running into the room. He then excitedly told me he had pulled another tooth out. In Devin's words "it is the best day ever". We headed downstairs to place his tooth into a baggie, cleaned him up, took a picture, then headed back upstairs.

I was teasing him that he is going to be a Dentist when he grows up, because he has pulled out so many teeth. He laughed and told me he is going to be a train driver who pulls teeth. Creating a new career path as we speak.

Thanks again Grandma Wolsing for the wonderful tooth fairy pillow!

Unexpected Visitor

Yes,we had another unexpected visitor at our house last night. The Tooth Fairy had to make very last minute changes to her itinerary to make it to our house. Luckily she was able to and didn't have any sort of flight delays or cancellations due to the extreme cold weather.

The Tooth Fairy left Devin $1.25 and a signed note that read "nice work. Keep up the good work".

Another One Bites the Dust

Devin lost another tooth today. He managed to pull it out at school. He has now lost 3 teeth in total, but this was his first top tooth. He was excited. Tooth fairy brought him 3 quarters this morning in his tooth pillow!

So now everyone knows what Devin will be asking for for Christmas - his front tooth!

Tooth # 2

Tonight Devin lost his second tooth. He wiggled it out after I put him to bed tonight. He scared me because he came down stairs to show me and I definitely wasn't expecting that!
He did inform me that it was way to late to put his tooth out tonight for the tooth fairy. He told me that she wouldn't have enough time to make it. So we have it saved in a baggie for tomorrow evening.
(Hopefully the tooth fairy can make it)

No denying that my little boy is growing up. Such a bittersweet realization.

Wiggly Tooth to Tooth Fairy in 3 Days

Well that didn't take long.
I received a text this morning that Devin had lost his 1st tooth.  It happened very nonchalantly.  Ms. Laura, our daycare provider, said he just walked in carrying his tooth.  I questioned him when I got home from work as to how it happened.  He said he just felt something funny in his mouth and found his tooth.  Then he told me he took it right to Ms Laura and that she put it into a little baggie.

It literally just fell out.
I can't believe it happen it happened so quickly!

Tooth yesterday, hole today.

So needless to say, I was NOT prepared for this tooth to fall out so quickly.  I had plans to make Devin a special tooth fairy pillow.  I called my Mom and she quickly came to the rescue.  She made this pillow with some fabric scraps she had.

She even added her personal touches by embroidering his name on the back little pillow.

This was also the evening that we dropped of the kids for them to spend the week with Grandma & Grandpa Wolsing.  She surprised Devin with his little pillow at dinner. He was so excited.  He couldn't wait for the tooth fairy to bring him a quarter.

I am a tad bit sad that I will miss the tooth fairy visiting this evening.  Can't wait to hear from Devin in the morning about his tooth fairy experience.

1st Wiggly Tooth

So this afternoon, I got a text message from Mrs. Laura, saying that Devin had a loose tooth. She just wanted to give me a heads up that it was the most exciting/painful thing that Devin had EVER experienced.  I was excited to hear all about it when I got home from work.

He discovered this loose tooth after biting into a cookie during snack time.  As soon as I walked in the door this evening he was right there to tell me all about it.  He said that when it fell out the tooth fairy would bring him a quarter.  The entire time he is telling his story, he was literally, jumping for joy.

Who knew a loose tooth could cause so much excitement.  It is his bottom, right, front tooth.  It is definitely wiggly.  You could tell it felt funny, because he kept playing with it with his tongue.

Devin likes to be prepared with exactly is going to happen.  He doesn't like to be surprised.  He has been like this ever since he was a baby.  He is all about routine and gets a little stressed out when things don't goes as planned.  He kept asking all evening if I knew how long it would take to fall out.  He definitely doesn't like the not knowing.  Some may say that he takes after his Mom on this one.

We'll keep everyone up-to-date on the status of the wiggly tooth.
