1st and Best Concert EVER - Garth Brooks!

Thanks to Uncle Matt for providing the cowboy hat for the evening. I am still trying to figure out where my kids get all of their personality!  Tate makes a pretty handsome cowboy!

Devin is lacking for personality either.  He was giving us his best cowboy pose.

Walking around in downtown Louisville, we ran across this horse.  It was a must to get a few pictures (even though the sign said No Touching), these cowboys make their own rules.  I'm not sure if it is the hat or the horse that makes the cowboy.

Look at those cowboy faces.  They both have the "stare" down.

We found the Troll Under the Bridge.

Tate managed to charm Uncle Matt into a ride on his shoulders.  Tate is pretty successful at using his big blue eyes to get what he wants.  We were on our way to dinner before the concert.  Greg had made a reservation at BLU, which was an amazing Italian restaurant.

We grabbed some drinks before dinner.  Tate was enjoying his water with lemon.  He thought the glass was awesome, because the "handle was at the bottom".  One person's handle is an other's stem.

Waiting on our food. We shared some appetizers - Hot Brown Ravioli and some Meat Balls.  Greg and I shared their highly recommended Pork Chop and Seafood Risotto.  They were both amazing and glad we tried both.

Pre-Concert Selfies.

Say Cheese!

Finally got one of the whole family.

Tate and Garth Brooks. Garth is in the Blue Shirt.  We had amazing seats.

Garth Brooks!

Cowboy Devin was really getting into his very first concert.  Cowboy hats and air guitars!

Devin using my phone as a lighter, a must during a slow song.  Thanks for the picture, Uncle Matt.

Tate was having a blast.  He did decide to wear his ear plugs.  His ears are so sensitive because of his ear tubes.

Love this picture - pure fun!  I think we were successful in making some lasting memories.  Couldn't have picked a better concert to be their first!

The Melting Pot & Underground Christmas Lights

Devin & Greg getting ready to enjoy lunch at The Melting Pot in Louisville, KY.  We went to Louisville for the day to do a little Christmas shopping.

Tate & Mom patiently waiting to enjoy some fondue - Cheese & Chocolate.

We wanted to treat the boys to a fun experience at The Melting Pot.  They had no idea what to expect, but they each seemed to love it.

Devin enjoying the cheese fondue.  He loved being able to dip items into the cheese.  Cheese makes everything better!  The fondue forks were a big hit, too.

Even got them to try dipping apples into the cheese.  They were a little hesitant at first, but ended up loving the apples and cheese.

Like I said, they love the fondue forks.  After lunch, we did a little more Christmas Shopping.  Then it was off to the Mega Cavern for Lights under Louisville.

We got there just shortly after they opened and luckily didn't have much of a wait.

The light show was very impressive.  Lots of lights and great music.  It was very festive.

Decorating the Christmas Tree.

We made it to the north pole.  Here is the toy factory.  It was busy making lots of presents.

Here the elfs are loading those presents into Santa's sleigh.

Look it's Frosty. He was dancing the night away.

Camping, Hiking & Trick or Treating

Fall was out in full force with some beautiful colors.  We decided to head up to the museum and nature center.  Then we headed out on a hike around Audubon State Park.

Such a beautiful building and fall setting.

The leader of our hike.  He was mapping us all the way.

Yep, it was already time to take a little rest!  It was definitely a well placed bench.

Cousins enjoying their time out in the woods.

The cousins found the perfect climbing tree.  Also made a great photo opportunity.

The leaves and surroundings were absolutely amazing.  Fallen leaves covered the bridge and trail, and those left in the trees where a perfect golden yellow.

Favorite Picture from the weekend!  We had to pick up the pace of our hike towards the end.  The rain was staring to move in on us.

Trick or Treating at Audubon.

Middle Row: Grandpa Wolsing as Swamp man
Grandma Wolsing as Creepy Doctor

Family picture before Trick or Treating!

I think our Mario was having a great time out snagging some candy.

Little Luigi was loving every minute!

Greg is an amazing Dad.  Don't know to many Dad's willing to dress up for Halloween and go Trick or Treating in the pouring down rain.  Definitely the most memorable Trick or Treat experience we have ever had.

I just love this picture!
My Mario and Wario making the best out of a pretty crummy situation.
(My purple pants look pretty amazing too!)
