4th of July - Backyard Fireworks

Devin loves fireworks and we decided that he would be old enough this year to do a few small fireworks on his own. We started with the sparklers, which turned out to be a ton of fun. Greg splurged on the giant sparklers!
Pretty cool picture. I promise Devin wasn't hurt in the taking of this picture. It looks like his face is about to be burned or his eyes hurt from staring at the bright light, but I promise he was not harmed.

One of the sparkler type fireworks we lit for the 4th of July. I have a feeling Devin is going to love the 4th as much as Greg does. The 4th is one of Greg's favorite holidays.

Yes, your eyes are working properly....Devin does have a jacket on in the middle of the summer. Yes he takes after his Mom and this one. Last sparkler before heading off to bed.

Happy 4th of July!!

Brown County

Now this is a picture for the memory books!
It's part of what the Christmas season is all about!

We spent the weekend in Nashville, Indiana with 50+ of our closest Danhauer family members. We enjoyed the indoor pool, Devin enjoyed throwing his first snowball, and Tate experienced his first ever snow. We also took in the lights and sounds of the town at Christmas time. We all really enjoyed ourselves and it was become such the holiday tradition for our family.

The Stockings Were Hung!

Happy St. Nick's Day! St Nicholas visited us and left all kinds of wonderful goodies in our stockings. Seems that we were all good enough this year to get some goodies.

Saint Nick's Day

St Nick stopped by our house and left Devin a little something special. This is the stocking the my mom made for Devin.
Devin found a "WOW" toy. These are the coolest little vehicles. They are friction powered and require no batteries. He fell in love with the car and the guy in it.

Showing off his car to Daddy.
St. Nick left a little something else in his stocking. It is a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse DVD - Mickey Saves Santa.

Devin played with Ethan and his new car all night long. Not sure who enjoyed the new toy more... I think Ethan may be adding "WOW" toys to his Christmas list as well!

The Start of the Holiday Season

So this weekend was our traditional holiday trip to Nashville, Indiana. It was a weekend filled with lots of family fun, food, and shopping. 49 Danhauer's ascended on the tiny town of Nashville. It was such a perfect wintery day. If this doesn't put you in the holiday spirit I am not sure what would. All bundled up out shopping. Devin loved watching the snow fall. We tried to teach him how to catch snowflakes on his tongue.
Playing in the snow.

Posing in our Christmas outfit for some pictures. This one was the best one I got. Not bad considering he was getting over a double ear/eye infection. He is feeling much better now, thank goodness!
