Tate's Little Blue Truck Birthday

Tate's very own little blue truck filled with all his farm animal friends.

I love the tin barn in the background.  Brings back a lot of memories from my childhood.  Used to play with one just like this at my Grandma & Grandpa Wolsing's house.  The barn I played with used to be my Dad's when he was a little boy.  Make this day even more special.

Treat pails for all of Tate's guests.

Tate's Little Blue Truck birthday cake.  The cake told the story of the little blue truck around the outside.

Love all the country touches.  The details made the party perfect.

Our Birthday Boy!

Brothers & Best Friends
Don't let those innocent looks fool you.....

Love those sweet smiles!

Tate and his gang enjoying all the wonderful food.

All the kids enjoyed playing in the bouncy castle and pirate ship.

Devin and his cousin Lexi

Tate swinging away.

Hanging out under Bucky.

These boys look like they are up to no good.  Be on the look out for Jayden and Tate.

We had such an amazing afternoon.  We couldn't have picked better weather.  My definition of a perfect day : clear blue skies, 80' temps, no humidity at the end of July.  Absolutely amazing.

Devin and Lexi

All the boys should be jealous.  Devin doesn't know what to do with all this attention from the girls.

Singing Happy Birthday!

Finally blowing out all "3" candles.  It was a lot of work.  We definitely need to practice his candle blowing out skills.  Little more air, little less spray.

Best part of a birthday party....opening presents.

What's inside???

Thanks Uncle Matt for the Fart Gun.  That's a gift only Uncles can give.
Not that this house needs any help in the matter.

How old are you again??  We can't remember.

Showing his new presents off to Grandpa Bane.

Working up an appetite in the bouncy house.

Mommy with her birthday boy.  It was an such a great get together.
Great day, good food, and even better company.

Arrrgh...Pirate Ship Play Set

Devin and Tate had really been missing their swing set since moving to our new house.  We knew we had to quickly remedy that problem.  After asking the kids about what they would like, Devin put into Greg's head that we should build a pirate ship.  This set Greg on a mission.  He spent hours combing the Internet looking at our various options.  He finally came upon a website that sells plans to help you build your very own pirate ship.  We purchased the plans and put a date on the calendar with family and friends.

Day 1 of pirate ship building consisted of some pretty crappy, cold weather and some major confusion around the pirate ship plans.  We stuck with the plans for all of about 4 hours.  Then we were quickly in "winging" it mode.

The ship come together rather quickly.  Had the bones of the hull done on Sunday.  Finished boarding the sides in, put up the swing arm, and built the walkway on day 2.  On the third day we built out the top portion, added the slide, and put up the mask.  Then it was just some finishing touches on the last day.

Grandpa Wolsing made some awesome finishing touches for the boys pirate ship.  Here is the figure head he made.  Now we have our very own mermaid.

No ship is complete without a name.  The boys decided on "Bucky".  Thanks to Jake and the Never land Pirates show.

Even a skull and crossbones for the back of the ship.

Grandpa Wolsing made it so the boys could raise and lower the flag.  Only fitting it's a Purdue flag.

Thanks Grandma & Grandpa Wolsing, Uncle Matt, Uncle Eric, Den and Liza the boys have an amazing play set. This was our team of spectacular builders.  Thanks to everyone for all of their hard work!

Spring is Really Here...Atleast for the Afternoon

Playing with "Cars" aka Lighting McQueen on our back deck. It was just to nice out this afternoon to not take advantage of the sunshine and warm weather.

Sliding down our spiral slide. One of Devin's favorite things to do on our swing set.

Swinging on his horse swing.
