Big Splash Adventure

No fear here!
Tate loved getting to splash, swim, and play at the indoor water park. He would dive face first into the water at the end of the slides and "practice" his swimming.  Severin, his swim instructor would have been proud!

I pretty sure Tate slid down this slide every way possible - forwards, backwards, on his back, on his belly, feet first, and face first.  You name it, he tried it.  I every saw him do these turn over moves as he slid down.  We had to pull him away to stop and eat dinner.  Then we shut the water park down on Saturday night.  He was so disappointed when he had to leave.

Perfect Tate smile!

Devin headed back up to the top, again.  Devin was excited to head to the water park hotel, because he was finally tall enough to ride the "big" slides.  He could ride with an adult down the 2 slides that used inner tubes.  He was also tall enough to ride one of the body slides.  He loved the tube slides, but complained about the body slide hurting his head.  The body slide was pretty rough.

Tate showing off his best side....

He was having a blast!!

All smiles!

By far this is Devin's favorite smaller slide.  He loved the blue slide.  Both Devin and Tate went down this slide countless times.  We all enjoyed the short weekend away.

More Water Park Fun!

Enjoying all the slides
and
lots of

water.

Our 4th of July Weekend Get-a-way

So we decided to enjoy one last little get-a-way before the new addition to our family makes his or her arrival. We decided to head to Cincinnati to enjoy the Great Wolf Lodge indoor water park. It made the perfect little 4th of July get away. We headed over first thing Saturday Morning and were enjoying the water park first thing Saturday afternoon. It was right up Devin's alley. They had 7-8 slides that he could enjoy. He was even allowed to ride some of the larger slides that required a raft. It was fun to be able to enjoy some of the slides as a family.
After the afternoon in the water park, we had promised to take Devin to see "Toy Story 3" . We got cleaned up and headed to the movie theater that was literally right across the street. We enjoyed not only the movie, but a big tub of popcorn. We all really enjoyed the movie, thought it made a great end to the movie series. I even got made fun of by my loving husband, because I shed a few tears at the end.

Our Big Splash Adventure

So after running a few errands and helping Greg with some "honey do" projects around the house we decided to take some time and enjoy the wonderful weekend with Devin. Greg thought we should try out the new indoor water park in French Lick Indiana.

Devin sliding down the kiddie slide. He could have done this all day long. I couldn't keep track of how many times he went down.

Devin's next found love at the water park were the over the water swings. They were really pretty neat and could swing in any direction, bounce, and spin. This crazy kid absolutely loved
swinging. Greg and I spent most of our time sitting in the kiddie pool pushing Devin back and forth in the swing.

So after mastering the kiddie area, we decided to head to bigger and better water slides. The play structure was very interactive. It literally had water shooting out everywhere, all kinds of things to push and turn.

Splashing down the big water slide. Devin kept saying "again" and if you asked him which color water slide he wanted to go down he would always respond "yellow". Before the end of our weekend, Devin was going down this slide by himself and Greg would catch him at the end.
