Playing with the kids toys again! I do,however, like the LEGO Christmas Tree he took time to build. Oh to live the life of an elf.

Tate's LEGO Birthday Party

The LEGO face buckets turned out to make some great treat baskets.  I had one made for each family that attended.  They each had some LEGO cookie heads, Marshmallow LEGO heads, a few LEGOs, and a few other goodies.

Tate's Lego cake from Fresh Baked.  Tracy makes some amazing cakes that are always so moist and tasty!

Here's the top of Tate's cake.  Still can not believe that he is turning 5.
It just doesn't seem possible.

The Lego marshmallow heads on display.  I am very happy with how they turned out.  I free handed each of the faces and they were each different.  They were a huge hit.  They were so tasty!

The display of decorated sugar cookies.

All of the Lego brick sugar cookies.

Tate's Birthday table.

Tate posing with his Birthday sign.

My blue eyed baby has grown into quite the blue eyed young man.  He was so excited about his birthday party.  He had been helping me plan his day for a very long time.

That's one happy 5 year old.

Singing Happy Birthday to Tate!  Looks like he might be blushing a little!

Trying to blow out his candles.....

Still trying to blow out some candles...

Finally he got them all!

Excited to be opening presents.

Putting the Pieces together...literally

Well this Mom has been busy making all the finishing touches for Tate's 5th Birthday Party.  The first step was cutting out the sugar cookies....yep those will be LEGO heads!

These are the beginnings of the marshmallow LEGO heads.

Coloring the royal icing for all of the sugar cookies I made for the party.  So excited at how the colors turned out!

The first layer is done - outlining and flooding.  These will be LEGO heads and LEGO blocks.

Just a few more LEGO blocks!

The following morning I added the finishing touches.  I am so happy with how they turned out, esp since this was my first real attempt at royal iced sugar cookies.

A few more!

LEGO face cookies.  I decided that they all had to be different.  I am just having trouble deciding which one is my favorite.  Each one is cuter than the next.

I free handed each of these faces.  Luckily there are a few LEGO people around my house, which I used for some ideas.
Tears, smiles, and mustaches
