Vacation Day 3 - Canoeing Blue River

Our first stop today was at the Lincoln memorial inside of Lincoln State Park.  We have learned a lot about Lincoln and his time spent in Indiana.  This Memorial was a pleasant surprise.

He was such an influential man in our countries history.   He was known for his great speeches and working to unify our country.

This is the front of the memorial.

We stopped to check out this memorial on our way to the Blue River.

We made it to Cave Country Canoes.  The boys and I decided we wanted to kayak the river.  We kayaked 7 miles down the river.

Devin kayaking down the river.  He was packing our cooler and picnic lunch.

The river was beautiful.  The sun was warm, but the water was cold.

Devin took a few pictures while we floated down the river.

Tate and Mom enjoying the river.

The boys loved paddling down the river and exploring.  The best part of the day was floating through the rapids.

We found the perfect spot to stop and enjoy our picnic lunch.

Great picture of Devin ad the river ahead.  It was such a peaceful and quiet experience.
