What do animals and beer have in common? Grant's Farm

We were in St Louis for Xavier's 1st Communion and had some extra time.  We decided it would be fun to visit Grant's Farm.  Neither Greg or the boys had been here before.  Thought it would be a great way to spend our afternoon.

We boarded the tram for a tour of the farm and park.

Once the tram tour was finished it dropped us off at the entrance to the park.

First up, was one of the animal encounters.  This show showcased animals from each continent and their various skills.

Look at those amazing colors on the Macaw.  It demonstrated flying over the crowd. It has amazing color and it's wingspan is quite impressive.

Here the Macaw even performs the famous Anheuser-Busch company symbol.

Next up was some crowd participation event with rats.  They were going to race the rats to see if the boys rat or the girls rat was faster.

There's a rat under Tate's hat in this picture.  If you look closely you can see its tail sticking out.

The rat finishing up the boys race.  You will have to watch the video below to find out who wins!

Tate got his very own mouse to take home with him.

Bald Eagle that Grants farm has rehabilitated and uses for education.

Riding the Carousel!

Tate trying to blow up a balloon faster than an elephant.  He lost.  The elephant blew up a huge balloon with only one nostril!

The elephant is walking on a balance beam.

Enjoying a few treats while Dad gets the adults some beer.

We tried several different beers.  Some which tasted pretty good on such a hot afternoon.

Such a neat court yard.
