Look who we found. The main mouse and captain, Captain Mickey!
The whole family joined in to get a picture with the Captain.
Our room for the week. We had a huge port hole room. Tucked away in the ceiling is a bunk bed they lowered each night. Tate won the contest at home prior to leaving, so he got so sleep on the bunk the first night. After that, they rotated to try and keep things fair.
This was our first time to have a room with a port hole, so we didn't know what to expect. We were all pleasantly surprised.
Some of the artwork in our room.
Checking out one of the kids only areas on the ship. Adults are only allowed during the open house. We took advantage of the open house after eating some lunch. Inside of the Ocean Club was a huge pirate ship. Reminds me of Bucky, the ship from Jake and the Neverland pirates. Devin took his turn at the helm.
No kid and resist a good slide. This one was fairly long and moved very quickly.
Tate loving the slide!
Seems like they found the Tick-Tock Crock!
Grandpa Wolsing found some lost treasure. Seems that metal detecting, has really come in handy!
Checking out the Oceaneer Lab - This is where both kids spent most of their time hanging out. Devin found the computers and the list of activities to keep him busy. He spent his time playing games and drawing multiple computer drawings that we hung on our stateroom door. He did participate in a car race. His team won several rounds of the race before being knocked out. He was very proud of himself and his other teammates.
Tate found the one whole in the wall and thought he needed to call through it. That kid!!
Up next, our first ice cream cones of the trip! Tate's favorite flavor (of the day) vanilla. The cruise port terminal in Puerto Rico was right next to a small airport. We enjoyed our ice cream cones while watching planes come and go.
Devin went with Chocolate, of course.
Goofy's pool on the top deck. Devin and Tate couldn't get enough time at the pool, but who can't blame them. It's pretty amazing to be able to swim in a pool outside in the middle of Winter. Our goal this whole vacation was to soak up as much of the sun as possible. The winter has already been too long and we are dreaming of the summer to come.
Awh, vacation!
Grandma & Grandpa Wolsing with the San Juan skyline in the background. We had a beautiful sunny day to board the boat and begin our amazing vacation.
Let the sail away party begin! The boys couldn't wait to start partying. These boys like to sing and dance like nobody's watching.
Fantastic day to start a vacation.
Look who joined the party - Captain Mickey and his main squeeze Minnie!
We headed to the theater for our first show. Along the way, we had to stop by the concession stand and purchase our refillable popcorn containers. You can't go to a show without enjoying some yummy popcorn. It's just a must!
Devin and Tate picked our seats right down front. Waiting for the show to begin.
Our first dinner was at Animators Palate.
It is an interactive dining room where all the colors come to life. The room starts out as black and white and slowly colors are added, at the finale the entire room is lit up in full color. Fun dinner and very entertaining for all the kids - Both big and small.
This is a plate of nothing. Our waitress, Beata, asked Devin what he would like for dessert. His answer was "nothing". She told him he better be careful what he asked for. She told Devin she would see if the kitchen had any nothing. We didn't think anything about it, figuring she was just giving him a hard time. However, she successfully found him a plate of nothing.
Devin with his plate of nothing. He got the biggest kick out of this and our waitress. We had an amazing wait staff this cruise. They really went above and beyond to make our trip special. Luckily we got someone who can take a joke and understands Greg's sarcasm.
You can see the trend continues. Greg asked for "something", basically he wanted Beata to surprise him with the best dessert. Yet, again, she went along with all the teasing and found the perfect dessert.
The "something" Greg had just wanted!!
Sorcerer Mickey made the rounds during the show.
Beata giving Greg a hard time, or maybe the other way around!!
Our first towel animal of the cruise.
