So after the carousel ride, we decided it would be nice to go make the baby a nice present for when he/she decides to come - so we headed to Build-a-Bear. I must say this place is a little over whelming to a 2 & 1/2 year old. After a very long and grueling decision, Devin decided to make the baby a puppy dog.
He also decided that he wanted to put sound in it and while we were trying to decide, one of the workers captured Devin saying "I love you Baby" with the recordable sound box, so we had to go with that one. I must say it is awfully cute.
So after picking the type of animal and the sound, we headed to the stuffing station. Here Devin fell in love with all of the buttons. Devin even got in on the act of stuffing by pressing the foot pedal.
Next step, add a heart. I think this process took the longest. Every time you would push the button, hearts would fly up into the air. Hopefully he didn't wear out the button, but he finally decided on the heart he wanted to give the puppy dog. Mommy also got to pick a heart and place into the doggy.
So after he was all stuffed, we headed to the bathtub to get him clean. Devin did an excellent job of scrubbing the puppy.
So after all of that we headed over to get the puppy a birth certificate and give him a name. After a very long debate with a 2 year old, some how we ended up with Spud, which I think is a very fitting name for this puppy dog.
Once we got the puppy's birth certificate they placed him into his house and we brought him home. Now we all just have to wait until the baby decides to make its arrival.
