Fall Harvest Complete - Check

It was a beautiful Fall day for harvesting.  Papaw Barry was busy in the combine, working hard to hopefully finish the Fall Harvest.

The only fields left to combine were the few down in the river bottoms.  Luckily it has been a very dry fall, which made it easier to get all the harvesting done.

The boys absolutely love spending time on the farm.  There isn't much they don't like about it.  It loud, there are big trucks and a combine, and lots of dirt.  Who doesn't love pulling the air horn on a semi-truck.  The kid inside me, even gets a kick out of it.  Nothing better than scaring an unsuspecting person with a loud burst from the semi's horn.  I got the kids a few times today and they got me a time or two.

Up first to ride to town with Dad, Tate.  They get a kick out of hauling grain to Cargil.  I'm not sure if it has to do with the actual ride or the candy once you get there.  Either way they love it!  They get to make special memories just them and their Dad!  I get a kick out of that.

Devin, literally hanging out in the corn.

I don't think these boys got their Dad's fear of heights.  I couldn't even begin to count the number of times they climbed up and down those ladders.  They like to watch the combine un-load from those spots.  They just laugh when a few pieces of corn hits them on their heads.  (I found a few of those pieces still stuck in their hair this evening, right before shower time)

Tate hanging out in the corn.  I know....insert corny joke here!!!  :)

Hot, sweaty and dirty - just the way the boys like it.

Finally their turn to ride in the combine with Papaw.  The smile says it all!

Beautiful Harvest.
Always glad to be nearing the end of the fall harvest season.

Tate and a semi-load full of corn.

Here comes Devin & Papaw in the combine.  They absolutely love the time they get to spend with Papaw in the combine.

Tate's turn.  Running up that ladder.

All smiles.

I know....corny selfie!!
It's just what Mom has to do to be in any of the pictures.
