After the Play Parade we enjoyed a great dinner in the Wine Country section of the park. It was an enjoyable dinner. Afterwards we had sometime to enjoy Paradise Pier before the evening show. Our first stop on the pier was at the carousel. It had an ocean theme. All of the animals would be found in the ocean. Tate picked a sea lion. Devin picked out a sea horse.
Patiently waiting to ride!
Devin took over the camera and snapped this picture of me on the carousel.
After riding the carousel, we headed to the Ferris Wheel. The kids picked one of the moving cars. Dad had to sit this one out. He doesn't handle these sorts of rides very well. The moving cars were pretty intense. They moved and swung quite a bit. It was a really fun ride, but it was a REALLY good thing that Greg sat this one out. Don't think he would have made it.
Swinging on the carousel.
Tate couldn't wait to ride the carousel. Dad stayed backed and watched us from solid ground.
Next up - Toy Store Mania. This ride takes you inside of a 3D video game.
Silly boys.
After riding toy store, we headed to get seats for The World of Color show. The show all occurs in the waters surrounding Paradise Pier and in front of the huge Ferris wheel.
Cheesing before the show!
All of the lights and colors they created on the Ferris wheel were just amazing.
The colors and music were so vibrant.
They managed to project images on a screen of mist that they created. This scene was from Up. It's all the balloons they used to lift the house out of the city.
This scene was absolutely beautiful. It was from Pocahontas.
But one of our families favorites was Captain Jack Sparrow and Pirates of the Caribbean. The music just moves you and the effects they used were so powerful.
Another pirate image displayed on mist.
World of Color
I love how they light up the entire pier with a rainbow of colors. This was a truly magical show. It was so astonishing and like nothing we had ever seen before.
